Legalities of SIPA
To obtain a Surat Izin Pengambilan Air Bawah Tanah (SIPA) (Underground Water Extraction Permit), you typically need the following:
Environmental Approval : Approval from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) ensuring the groundwater extraction complies with environmental regulations.
Water Availability Letter : Issued by Balai Wilayah Sungai (BWS) and Perusahaan Air Minum Daerah (PDAM), confirming the availability of groundwater for extraction in the region.
Geoelectric Survey Report : A technical report that assesses the geological conditions and groundwater potential at the project site.
Drilling Permit (SIP) : Approval for well drilling, obtained through submission to the Online Single Submission (OSS) system.
Water Sample and Analysis Report : Once the well is drilled, water samples must be collected and analyzed, with the results submitted to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Submission to Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources : All reports, surveys, and documents must be submitted to the ministry for final approval.
Regular Monitoring : After obtaining SIPA, monthly water meter readings are required, and bills are issued based on usage.
