Keruing structural timber is a durable hardwood with a grain that ranges from straight to interlocking and a texture that can be moderately rough. It typically features a reddish-brown to dark brown heartwood, sometimes with a purplish hue and lighter-colored sapwood. Due to its strength and resistance to moisture and pests, Keruing is widely used in construction for structural elements.

Dressed timber, also called planed timber, is smoothed to create a polished surface with precise dimensions, suitable for visible applications like furniture or interior finishes.
