Quick Guide

Choosing the right AC size is important. If the unit is too small, it will have to work harder and still fail to cool the room effectively. If it is too large, it will cycle on and off frequently, resulting in inefficiency.

Well-Insulated Room: A well-insulated room typically has thick, solid walls, an insulated ceiling, and tightly sealed doors. It contains few windows, or the windows are double-glazed to minimize heat transfer and improve energy efficiency.

Moderately-Insulated Room: A moderately insulated room usually features solid concrete walls, a properly insulated roof, and well-sealed doors. It may have several standard windows, which allow some degree of heat exchange with the outside environment.

Poorly-Insulated Room: A poorly insulated room often has large window areas, poorly sealed doors, and walls or a roof that emit heat. These rooms also tend to have more occupants, further increasing internal heat levels.
