Choosing the right AC size is important. If it is too small, the AC will work harder and will not cool the room effectively. If it is too large, the AC will frequently cycle on and off and be inefficient.
Cooling size is measured in BTU (British Thermal Unit). Modern AC units with high efficiency (CoP = 4) can produce 4 times more cooling than the electrical power they use.
