Polyester Mesh is a reinforcing material used to strengthen plaster coatings and prevent cracking. Made from durable synthetic polyester fibers, it features a flexible, open-weave design that allows for easy embedding within plaster layers, enhancing structural integrity and improving resistance to cracking from movement or shrinkage while ensuring a smooth, even surface.
Polyester mesh comes in two sizes: 5mm squares and 1mm squares. The 5mm mesh is ideal for larger surface areas providing a robust reinforcement for exterior walls or areas prone to movement, while the 1mm mesh comes in 10 mt strips 5 or 10 cm wide and is suited for hairline cracks and more detailed work, such as interior walls and ceilings.
