
Mixing Ratio and Application Method
Mix LW-12 insulating castable by adding approximately 7.5–11 liters of clean water to each 25 kg bag (30–45% water ratio). Begin by placing about 80% of the required water into a mixing bucket or mechanical mixer, gradually add the castable while mixing continuously, then add the remaining water until a uniform, workable consistency is achieved similar to thick plaster or lightweight concrete. Mix for 3–5 minutes until fully homogeneous and free of dry lumps. The material can then be applied by casting into formwork, troweling onto surfaces, or plastering over insulation layers such as ceramic fiber blanket. Spread the castable evenly to the required thickness, compact lightly to remove air pockets, and finish with a trowel. After installation, allow the material to cure for at least 24 hours before gradual heating to ensure proper strength development and prevent cracking.
